For the 2019 / 2020 academic year, parents / carers of a child in a Manchester Primary School will receive their child’s measurements in a letter, in line with the national guidance.
You can find out how your child’s result was calculated and check how your child is growing over time, by going to www.nhs.uk/bmi.
You can also contact your School Nurse or other health care professional for further advice and support on how to help your child achieve and maintain a healthy weight.
School Nurses are based in two teams across the city. If you would like to contact them by phone, please call the team closest to your child’s school. Alternatively your child’s school will be able to tell you when the school nurse is available in school.
